MeloFolio Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Last updated 24 October 2026.

This policy says what MeloFolio collects about you, why, who else handles it, and what you can do about it. It covers melofolio.com and the app at melofolio.app.

1. Who is responsible

MeloFolio is operated by Quietly Free Ministry, 8850 NW 13th Terrace, Unit 105, Doral, Florida 33172, United States, which is the data controller. Write to info [at] quietlyfree [dot] org or to the postal address above.

2. What we collect

  • Your email address, to sign you in and to send you the few emails the service needs, such as your sign-in link and notice of a change to these terms.
  • Your song pages: the beats, chords, key, melody and words that the analysis produced from your recording, the title and artist you typed, your edits, and your settings for each song (key, capo, instrument, chord names and the like).
  • Your takes: recordings of your own voice that you choose to keep in Sing it, stored with your account.
  • Records of use: when a song was added or opened, how many songs you have analyzed (the trial counts songs), and the technical logs any server keeps, such as the time of a request and the address it came from.
  • Billing records, once subscriptions open: what you bought and when. Card details go to our payment provider and never reach us.

3. What we do not keep

  • Your recordings. A file you upload or record is analyzed and then deleted. No song audio is kept, served to anyone or used to train any model. A recording that fails to analyze is removed within a day by an automatic sweep.
  • We do not sell or share your information for advertising, and we run no advertising trackers on the site or in the app.
  • We do not collect anything about your beliefs. What you write in your own words stays yours, and we do not read it except to show it back to you.

4. Why we hold it, and on what basis

We hold your email and your song pages because that is what the service is: without them there is no account and no library (performance of our contract with you). We keep records of use to run the trial, to keep the service working and to stop abuse (our legitimate interest). We keep billing records because tax law requires it (legal obligation). Where your consent is the basis, such as for an optional email, you can withdraw it at any time.

5. Who else handles it

These companies process data for us, under contracts that bind them to our instructions:

  • Fly.io runs the app's web server and stores the song pages, in the United States (Virginia).
  • Neon hosts the database that holds accounts, song pages and settings, in the United States (AWS us-east-1).
  • Tigris stores uploaded recordings for the minutes they are analyzed, and stores your kept takes in a private bucket.
  • Modal runs the analysis that turns a recording into a song page. The recording is deleted there when the analysis ends.
  • Resend sends the sign-in link to your email address. It receives your address and the message, nothing else.
  • LRCLIB, a public lyrics database, is asked for the words of an uploaded song by its title, artist and length. No audio and nothing about you is sent.
  • HighLevel serves the website and holds the customer records and emails of Quietly Free; Cloudflare delivers the website and protects it.
  • Stripe processes payments once subscriptions open. Stripe holds your card details under its own policy; we see only that a payment succeeded.

We hand over data to no one else, except when the law requires it.

6. Where it is held

Your data is held in the United States. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, this is a transfer outside your region; our providers rely on standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision for it, and you may ask us for a copy of the safeguards.

7. How long we keep it

  • Recordings: deleted when the analysis ends, and in every case within 24 hours.
  • Song pages, settings and takes: for as long as you keep them in your account. Deleting a song deletes its page and its takes. Deleting your account deletes everything in it.
  • Email and account: until you delete your account, then removed within 30 days, except what billing law makes us keep.
  • Billing records: for the years tax law requires.
  • Server logs: a short time, then deleted.

8. Cookies and browser storage

MeloFolio sets a sign-in cookie so that you stay signed in, and a trial cookie that lets us see whether a device has already used a free trial; it holds a random code, nothing about you. It also stores a few preferences in your browser: your language, light or dark theme, and the microphone delay that Sing it measured on your device. None of these follow you to other sites. The website uses no analytics or advertising cookies.

9. Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to give you a copy, or to stop using it in a certain way. Write to info [at] quietlyfree [dot] org. We answer within a month. You can also delete your songs, takes and account yourself in the app.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may also complain to your national data protection authority. If you live in California or in another state with a similar law, you have the rights to know, to delete and to correct your information, and not to be treated differently for using them. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it.

10. Children

MeloFolio is for people 18 and older, or younger people with a parent's or guardian's consent. We do not knowingly collect information from a child under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.

11. Security

Connections to MeloFolio are encrypted. Recordings are stored only for the minutes of their analysis, with links that expire. Takes are in a private store that only your account can reach. Sign-in uses a link sent to your email, so there is no password to steal. No service is perfectly secure, and if a breach ever affects you we will tell you.

12. Changes

When this policy changes we update the date at the top and, for a change that matters to you, tell you by email or in the app.
