TempoA metronome you set with your fingers. Tap the beat of a song and read its tempo, or set a number and let it click, with the first beat of each bar marked. How to use itSet the number with the buttons, the slider, or by typing it. Start makes it click; the first beat of each bar sounds highest, and in a bar of four the third beat is a little stronger too. The space bar starts and stops. Time signature sets the beats and how each one divides: 3/4 is three beats of two eighths, 6/8 two beats of three. In simple time (2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 2/2) a beat divides in two; in compound time (6/8, 9/8, 12/8) in three, and the tempo counts the big beats. Under the number you see which note gets the beat, as hymnals print it: ♩ = 100. To find the tempo of a song, play it in your head and press Tap on every beat. After four taps the number is ready. Use this tempo hands it to the metronome. The screen stays on while the metronome runs, if your phone allows it. beats per minute
